The project#
My sister runs ROZAIR Tattoo and needed a fast, static portfolio site to present her work. The site consists of five fixed sections: Home, About, Portfolio, Pricing & FAQ and Contact. The portfolio shows her work across different styles, from fine linework to solid blackwork. The contact page is immediately usable for clients: phone, e-mail, the studio’s address, a WhatsApp button and a call to action to book an appointment.
The approach#
The site is built with Hugo and deployed on a server running Plesk, from design to hosting. The portfolio photos run through Hugo’s resource pipelines: images are resized and exported as multiple formats so every screen gets the right resolution instead of a single large file. CSS and JS are bundled, minified and fingerprinted, so browsers automatically fetch the new version after every update instead of showing a stale cache.
